Hey Howdy Hey, Folks!
My name is Macaire Ament and I am one of the lucky kids who will be participating in the 2014 Spring Disney College Program! Come January 27th, I will take my first steps into the magical world of public restrooms and popcorn spills as a Custodial cast member. Although I sometimes wonder what I'm getting myself into, I can honestly say that I am PUMPED to help make the magic happen next semester.
Apart from being a future cast member, I am also a student athlete at the University of Texas at Dallas. In the last year and a half I have met some of my closest friends there. From my roommates to my teammates on the womens' soccer team, I am truly blessed to have found myself a Texas family.
While I will miss both my family in Washington and my Texas family this spring, I plan to build some wonderful new relationships in Florida as well. This is a once in a lifetime experience that will put all of us to the test, and I know that there will be days when I'll need someone to lean on and when someone will need to lean on me. Hopefully we will all rise to the occasion :)
To wrap it up: This blog is my attempt to keep myself writing while I'm away, as well as a place to share my college program experience with anyone who is interested. Let the memories begin!
